YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
220 HR. PROGRAM APPROVED BY THE YOGA ALLIANCE
Tying together the ancient sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda, with the modern advances of Health and Biomechanics Prakriti YTT prides itself on being both comprehensive and authentic, yet approachable and functional for all.
Because this training exceeds Yoga Alliance guidelines, students graduate with the ability to register as 200hr Yoga Teachers with Yoga Alliance and log 20+ hours in Continued Education Units in topics such as Ayurveda, Special Groups, Yoga Therapy, Teaching Methodology, and other complementary modalities!
This course has two different path options: completely online -or- online with in-person intensives!
The course consists of LIVE Video Lectures, supplemented with pre-recorded videos, audiofiles, content downloads, and various interactive assignments. The live call lectures allow us to still get a sense of community and connection you would get in the in-person training, as well as, answer any questions you may have personally.
Live Lectures will take place every Thursday and Saturday from 9:00am-12:00pm, starting Thursday June 6, 2020 and ending on Saturday December 26, 2020. It is required to attend at least one of the two live lectures each week, however, I do request students try to attend both! Recordings of the lectures will be provided.
The mentorship opens in November and closes in February (mentorship calls are 1:1 and scheduled individually with Jenna Murrow!)
The exact week-by-week scheduled will be emailed to registered students 2 weeks prior to class starting.
In-Person Intensives are currently on hold in light of the current COVID19 situation, and will be scheduled once the ban has been lifted. They will take place at a private studio in the area of La Habra Heights, California. Exact address will be provided upon registration.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT YOGA STYLE(S) WILL I LEARN?
Prakriti Yoga Teacher Training recognizes that Yoga that is not "one-size-fits-all," and therefore, goes above and beyond to educate its students on various Yoga traditions, including but not limited to, Vinyasa, Hatha, Power, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Yin, Restorative, Yin, and Yoga Nidra. On top of this, they are also introduced to how to approach special groups such as pregnancy, elderly, rheumatic, and more. Students are also educated on other forms of self-care such as Ayurveda (Yoga's Sister Science), SMR (foam rolling), Calisthenics (functional fitness), Sound Healing, Crystal Healing, and much more. Our goal is to introduce students to the various paths they may choose to follow as teachers!
ARE THE CLASS SIZES BIG?
We limit every training to 10-12 students depending on the location to maintain an intimate learning environment and assure each student gets the attention they deserve and paid for- because of this, sessions can max out and additional students will be placed on a waitlist or next session.
CAN I TEACH YOGA AFTER THIS?
YES! 100x YES!! Not only will you have the knowledge and confidence to teach Yoga after this program, but you will also graduate with not one, but two certifications! As Prakriti YTT Student, you graduate with both a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification that allows you to register as a 200RYT with Yoga Alliance**, as well as, a 20 additional hours, putting you ahead of the game with CEUs from the start. We do suggest, however, looking into the laws prior to bringing business internationally as some areas may add their own regulations!
DO I GET TO KEEP ACCESS TO THE CONTENT?
Yes! Due to the nature of the program, you will have access to all recorded lectures and supplemental learning materials as long as the internet exists!
IS THE ONLINE PROGRAM REGISTERED WITH YOGA ALLIANCE?
While we are a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance, they have always specified that a majority of our “contact hours” be in-person, as opposed to over webcam or distance learning for the RYT 200 designation. This stipulation, however, has been temporarily lifted as in-person trainings now pose a risk to our health and safety due to COVID-19. Graduates of this 2020 Yoga Teacher Training will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance. After the COVID-19 provision is lifted, an additional in-person intensive will be required. Please keep in mind, Yoga Alliance is private, nonprofit entity that is optional for teachers to pay to join. Yoga Alliance is not sanctioned by any local, state, or federal government. Paying Yoga Alliance to be listed in their directory is not a requirement to get insurance or be legally protected while teaching yoga.
CAN I TEACH YOGA ANYWHERE?
Yes, We are registered with the Yoga Alliance, which is the governing body of Yoga Teachers at the moment. Yoga Alliance is international, and therefore, you can take this certification around the world with you! We do suggest, however, looking into the laws prior to bringing business internationally as some areas may add their own regulations!
DO I NEED A LOT OF EXPERIENCE?
No! Whether you have practiced for many years or many months- the calling to deepen your understanding of Yoga can hits at any moment and we know this! As long as you have at least exposed yourself to the practice, Prakriti YTT can help with the rest.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAM?
You have a few options, depending on your graduation goals! Due to the nature of the program, you can go at your own pace by watching recorded lectures as time allows and the content will always be there for you to access. If you are wanting to attend the online program only and receive a Yoga Alliance certification, you must complete the training on time with the rest of the class. The mentorship takes place once a year and is required for graduation. Therefore, if for some reason you fall behind, you can catch up at your own pace and just join the mentorship with the next group.
