As the air continues to cool and the rains are (finally) starting to fall here in California… some of us are starting to experience the “side effects” that this seasonal transition tends to bring with it. Luckily for us: Ayurveda, aka the Science of Life, has quite the arsenal of healing therapies and protocols, including simple kitchen hacks that can easily be brought into your home, such as:
Gargling with sea salt and turmeric
Sipping on warm herbal teas
And making some spiced honey!
Believe it or not, seasonal transitions (and the array of sickness they bring with them) are an opportunity for us to check-in with our current state of health before it progresses into something more chronic.
Those coughs, colds, flus, sore throats, congested airways… are all signs that we need to take better care of our bodies for the long-term, not just now.
If you consistently suffer from the same seasonal illnesses or allergies, we highly recommend consulting with our Ayurvedic Practitioner, Jenna Murrow.
BONUS TIP!! If you get recurring respiratory issues, we also suggest the classical (and powerful) herbal formulation known in Ayurvedic Medicine as Sitopaladi Churna.
If you are interested in purchasing this formulation, I highly recommend doing so from www.athreyaherbs.com- a family-owned company dedicated to authenticity and quality.
You can even use “OJAS10” to save some money- all commissions go toward supporting our mission.
